Make a payment

Covid-19 (Coronavirus) update:

We understand that our tenants may be facing some difficult situations due to the Coronavirus and may be worried about how they will continue to pay their rent.

We are not currently offering ‘rent holidays’. We will continue to follow all government guidance on rent and charges but at this stage we believe it is in your best interest to try to keep your rent account as up to date as possible.

On Friday 20 March 2020 the Government announced extra support and protection to households to ensure they can continue to pay their rent and utilities at this time. Increasing sick pay, Housing Benefit and Universal Credit whilst also protecting salaries for retained workers.

If you are already in receipt of Housing Benefit or Universal Credit that covers all of your rent this should continue.

If you receive partial help through Housing Benefit or Universal Credit but any other income you receive is reduced then please report your change to your Local Authority Housing Benefit department or Universal Credit so that your award can be reviewed. You may be able to get an increase in your payments.

If you do not currently claim any help with your rent and you are unable to work you will be able to apply for Universal Credit online. You may be eligible to receive up to a month’s advance upfront without physically having to attend the jobcentre.

It is important that you contact us if you think you are going to have difficulty in paying your rent whilst the extra support measures are put in place. We have officers ready to assist you who will be able to consider your individual circumstances and give you some help and advice.

Whilst this crisis continues no-one will face eviction as a direct result of coronavirus although we will continue to manage our rent arrears process if customers do not get in touch with us.

We have officers available to speak to you from 9am to 5pm every weekday.
